Day 37 = Resistance Bands + Easter

Today was Easter, and I made two homemade key lime pies. I had been waiting for this for weeks. I have been looking forward to spending Easter with family and friends I hadn't seen in years, including meeting a new friend, Lauren, who is just about 10 weeks old. She was fussy so we were walking around when her mom snapped this pic of us.

That night, after a glass of wine and a nap in the chair, I still had to do my workout. I brought my resistance bands (super easy to pack while traveling), and I chose to focus on my upper body. Holding a baby requires strength, I learned.

My stepfather, Richard, showed me some new ways to use the bands. So in addition to my bicep curls, tricep moves and lat pulls, Richard showed me a variation for my biceps (hold the bands with fists facing each other and curl up); chest press (put the longer band around the chair while pulling them around in front of my chest); and some kind of push up while sitting in the floor on the band and pushing up. My arms are sore a little today and not sure if it was the resistance bands or the infant. It was worth holding that cute baby, though!
