Day 84 = Walking + Star Trek

I think I get it. I think I might understand the Star Trek craze. I do realize that I'm over 40 years late getting on this bandwagon, but the movie I saw tonight makes sense to me. I still can't form my hands into their shocker-style sign. But I think I get it. After I took an evening walk and Skyped my mom, I went to see Star Trek with a friend.

It's an all-star cast. Kind of. You've got Audrina's (The Hills) boyfriend as Kirk. Sylar is Spock. Harold is Sulu. The "Run Fat Boy Run" guy is Scotty. And the hot version of King Henry VIII is the bad guy. One of the most sci-fi acting choices was Winona Ryder as Spock's mom. She is 3 years older than me. Winona, please!

As I was listening to the subtle tones and pitches of the soundtrack, I stopped to wonder if Jack Shepherd or Kate Austin was about to pop out from around a corner or something. Oh, so JJ Abrams directed and produced. That explains the "LOST" sounding music. And the Bad Robot logo at the beginning. Geez, I love that show.....
